Since long time I want to upload a picture of a broom as they are made here in Chile, not as a craft work but rather a matter of design.
The issue is that this broom has not changed since I know it and the reason is very simple: Good design endures, and in this case, even keeping the original natural material. So good is this design are that it has been copied in plastic.
This staple has been always here, some materials change only to use what the crafter have by hand, in this case the tied is copper and the top is plastic and sometimes discarded tin cans has been used, but is always the same how all goes together.

These ties in this case are plastic but always there are these curahuilla seeds* which sparrows like to eat until they are finished. And finally no one can deny that this is a beautiful object. I used the new lens to shoot these photos.
