¿Renacentista?/ Renaissance?
I am uploading a second photo of the hands of my automata, now in another sense. The work was quite delicate, even so my mind was wandering while working and I could not stop thinking about these small hands could have belong to some religious figure, like so many that exist in the temples here in Chile. I also thought that I would have liked to live during the Renaissance, it is clear that one should have belonged to a master's workshop or work for the court to live decently, those was not easy times. Maybe in another life I could have been a Renaissance guy or perhaps simply I am being now.
Manos de autómata/ Automata hands
The small hands of my automata are almost ready, it was a little easier than I thought, even so it took me almost all morning to get to this point.

Isla de Maipo
On Sunday I went to this small town near Santiago did not yet know, Isla de Maipo on the banks of the Maipo River. It is a traditionally agricultural town very tidy and welcoming.
Otra tradición rural Chilena, el comercio de la avenida principal en casas de fachada continua con corredores.
Another Chilean rural tradition, trade in the main street in continuous facade houses with corridors.
These wooded roads were part of the original large estates and are now part of the town.

Algo de autómatas/ Some automata work
I've been concerned about other issues so I have not had a chance to advance in my projects, photos or to update the blog.
Solo he podido avanzar un poco en el cuerpo de mi autómata ceramista, que es en madera.
I could only work a little in the body for my potter automata, which is going to be in wood and same hardware of brass.

Avances en autómatas/ Automata progress
Definitely I'm not able to work on one project at a time, even worse, I started two parallel projects in the field of automata.
El primero va a ser un autómata de madera y metal movido por una manivela manual al estilo de Cabaret Mechanical Theater o Fourteen Balls Toy Co. Este es el bosquejo inicial inspirado en mis clases de Cerámica.
The first will be a wood and metal robot moved by a hand crank in the style of Cabaret Mechanical Theater or Fourteen Balls Toy Co. This is the initial sketch inspired by my pottery class.
El segundo es más mecánico y recién estoy trabajando en la parte técnica más que en un diseño como tal. Estos son tres motores y partes recicladas de un destornillador inhalámbrico e impresoras descartadas.
The second is more mechanical and I'm just working on the technical part rather than design as such. These are three engines and parts recycled from a cordless screwdriver and discarded printers.
This worm gear I made have a great ratio of 60:1 and a soft and silent running.
