This is are the pieces from the pit firing. As this was my first experience there was a number of things that I didn't know, such as covering the pieces with salt, vegetables or some oxides to achieve more shades. So the pieces were not well prepared, then, I did not achieve a great result.
This piece was in the pit fire, it had banana peels tied with wire. It only got light colorations.
This second piece was also burned in the pit fire, covered with reeds and some salt. The other side was more stained but too dark.

This is the worst piece, it was fired with cow dung and then covered with shredded horse manure. Should have been shiny black but did not succeed. I think it did not get to glow red and then it was not well covered so the manure burned with too much oxygen.

This piece is the most successful. It was fired in a drum with sawdust and white and gray tones were achieved. In the mouth and neck there are shimmering blacks.
