Desde hace unos seis años cada vez que vengo a la feria visito a este artesano en cobre Juan Carlos Orellana. Es la única persona en Chile a quien a visto hacer botes pop-pop.About six years ago every time I come to this fair I visit this artisan Juan Carlos Orellana, he works copper. It is the only person who I have seen building pop-pop boats here in Chile.
El normalmente hace figuras decorativas, ollas y otros artículos utilitarios pero utilizando su técnica de repujar cobre el hizo esta caldera para un pequeño motor de vapor oscilante.Usually he makes decorative figures, pots and other utilitarian items but using his beating technique he made the boiler for a small oscillating steam engine.
Este año conocí a este otro artesano Guillermo Cisternas M. escultor en madera. El trabaja en el Parque Mahuida acá en Santiago.This year I met this other craftsman Guillermo Cisternas M. woodcarver. He works in Mahuida Park here in Santiago.
El hace mascarones de proa en madera pero este año se preparó con figuras religiosas para esta muestra.He makes wooden figureheads but this year he prepared with many religious figures for this show.
Habilmente va dando forma a las figuras entre sus manos.He is very skilful shaping the figures in his hands.
