Hoy fui a ver una trilla a yegua. Antiguamente acá en Chile el trigo se trillaba mediante yeguas, las gavillas de trigo se esparcen en el interior de un circulo y un grupo de yeguas arreadas por unos huasos corren sobre estas para separar el grano de la paja. Otro grupo de hombres al interior de este ruedo arrojan las gavillas al aire con horquetas.
Today I went to a mare threshing. Here in Chile, formerly, wheat was threshed by mares, wheat sheaves are spread inside a circle and a group of mares are herded by horsemen over them to separate the wheat from the chaff. Another group of men within this arena throw the sheaves into the with pitchforks.
