Hoy encontré este sitio de la biblioteca pública de Nueva York donde encontraron esta forma de presentar las antiguas imágenes estereoscópicas mediante un GIF animado. Las imágenes eran tomadas con una cámara de doble lente y eran vistas en un visor especial donde cada imágen quedaba frente a cada ojo.
Today I found this site of the New York Public Library where they found this way of presenting the old stereoscopic images using an animated GIF. The images were taken with a dual lens camera and were viewed in a special viewer where each image was in front of each eye.
En este caso el efecto se logra de alguna forma haciendo un rápido cambio entre una imágen y otra. Para ver el efecto es necesario hacer click en la imagen. Esta es mi primera prueba y no está bien logrado aún. El link para el sitio de la biblioteca de Nueva York es este: Stereogranimator.
