Finalmente logramos montar la primera exhibición colectiva de cerámica agrupando ceramistas de Chicureo. Estas primeras fotos son del taller de Francisco Olivares donde estoy estudiando.
Finally we mounted our first collective pottery exhibition of the Potters of Chicureo. These first photos are from the workshop of Francisco Olivares where I am studying.

Este es el mesón con mi trabajo. Por ser la primera muestra no hubo realmente mucho público pero como experiencia fue enriquecedor.
This is the table with my work. As this was the first exhibition there was not really a big crowd but as experience it was enriching.

El mesón con el trabajo de Francisca Gaete y Maria Luisa Alamos que ya trabajan sus propios esmaltes. La crítica al trabajo de nuestro taller fué muy buena.
This is the work of Francisca Gaete and Maria Luisa Alamos, both of them already working their own glazes. The review of our workshop was very good.

A diferencia de nuestro taller en general el trabajo de los otros talleres es más escultórico.

Unlike our workshop the work of the other people is more sculptural.

Asas listas/ Teapot handles ready

No fué muy difícil hacer yo mismo las asas para mis teteras.

It was not so hard to make my own wicker handles for the teapots.

Todo listo para inaugurar nuestra primera exhibición mañana.

Everything ready for our first pottery exhibition tomorrow.

Primeras teteras/ First teapots

Estas son mis dos primeras teteras, tuve suerte que no fallaran en ninguna parte del proceso: secado, bizcochado y esmaltado.

These are my first two teapots, I was lucky that they did not fail in any part of the process: drying, bisque and glazed.

Tetera verde agua, interior blanco, 17 cm. de ancho por 11 cm. de alto. Falta el asa de mimbre.

La tetera incluye 4 pocillos. This teapot includes 4 cups.

Tetera esmalte celeste gris con detalles en negro, interior blanco, 18 cm. de ancho por 11 de alto, falta el asa de mimbre.

Dos fuentes/ Two bowls

Fuente redonda, esmalte verde agua, esmalte gamuza y arena, ancho 25 cm. alto 8 cm.

Jueves de cerámica/ Pottery Thursday

Una de las razones por las que todo ha estado calmado acá es que he tenido que dedicar tiempo para preparar piezas para nuestra exposición de cerámica de la próxima semana. Finalmente me entregaron las últimas piezas salidas del horno.

One of the reasons that everything has been calm here is because I had to spend time to prepare pieces for our ceramics exhibition next week. Finally I got the final pieces fired.

Dos fuentes en verde agua brillante y beige opaco. La del frente mide 25 de ancho por 5 de alto y la de atrás 22 de ancho por 7 de alto.
Two pieces in light green and matt beige. The serving plate at the one front is 25 cm wide by 5 cm high.The bowl at the back is 22 cm wide by 7 cm high.

Terminando la serie de piezas facetadas, la del frente mide 21 de ancho por 6 de alto y el florero de atrás 13 de ancho por 14 de alto.
Finishing the series of faceted pieces, the one at the front measures 21 cm wide by 6 cm tall, the vase at the back 13 cm wide by 14 cm tall.

Actualizando/ Updating
